MANGOLD, Eunice

Eunice was born February 5, 1925 in Moorewood, OK to Jessie and Boyd Cornett. She graduated from Liberty Center High School in the 1944. On June 18, 1947 she married the love of her life, Jacob Earl Mangold. Together, they had two beautiful daughters. Eunice took pride in being a wonderful homemaker and an exceptional employee. Her career was spent with the federal government. She retired as an administrative officer for the Agriculture Research Station in Bushland, Texas. Eunice was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed doing handwork in her later years. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have been blessed with her beautiful handwork that will last for generations to come. Eunice loved God, life, her family and her friends. She always said, “If I could do my life over again, there wouldn’t be one thing I would change.”
Eunice is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jacob Mangold; a daughter, Jaketta Paris and husband Bob of Amarillo; a daughter, Alice Johnson and husband Johnny of Amarillo; a grandson Tyson Cobb and wife Keri of Oklahoma City, a granddaughter, Breezy Adams and husband Matt of Amarillo; a grandson, Blair Johnson and wife Melanie of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Berkley Chapman and husband Justin of Amarillo; ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jessie Cornett and wife Carol of Colorado Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Boyd Cornett; brothers, Paul Cornett, Glen Cornett, James Cornett, Billy Cornett and Bobby Cornett; sisters, Lois Tackitt Fuller, Edith Snell, Naomi Sullins and Ruth Cheateaux.
