Funeral services for Charles Edward Martin were held Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. in the Martin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Truman Teel officiating.
Charles Edward Martin was born July 12, 1916 in Elk City, OK and passed away Saturday, May 10, 1997 at the age of 80 years.
Ed grew up in the Grandview community just northwest of Elk City. He farmed in the Berlin community all of his life with the exception of ten years when he was employed by Roger Mills County. He was married to Iva Pearl Rowlan on November 22, 1936 at Elk City. He was a member of the Berlin Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl, of the home; three children, Ella Pearl Kirk and husband, Gordon of Cheyenne, OK; Charles Ray Martin and wife, June of Amarillo, TX; and Johnny Martin and wife, Velda of Amarillo, TX; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Lowder and husband, Earl of Clinton and Pearl Knight of Elk City, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two granddaughters.
Burial was in the Berlin Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
