Myrtle Augusta Morris was born in Williamson County, Texas September 16, 1881, moved to this country with her parents in 1892, was married to Robert O. Martin at this place February 14, 1909, died January 1st at the sanitarium at Clinton, Oklahoma where she recently under went an operation.
Mrs. Martin was the founder of the Mammoth Sunday School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Morris, who reside west of town. Rev. Morris was the first minister of the gospel in Roger Mills County.
She united with the church twenty three years ago and has lived a consecrated life ever since.
Her remains were shipped to this city and laid to rest in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Sunday afternoon. Elder L.L. Combs conducted the funeral services.
