Ralph Duward Mayfield passed away Juy 24, 2012 in Amrillo, Texas at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 1 day.
Ralph was born the son of Dora R. and Joseph (Bill) Mayfield. He was raised in the Cheyenne, Oklahoma area and joined th U.S. Army in December of 1946. He served his country in Europe, Italy, Japan and the U.S. After leaving the servie he moved to Tucumcari, NM. Ralph was a diesel mechanic most of his life, retiring in Cheyenne.
He was preeded in death by his parents, a son, David Russell.
Ralph is survived by 2 daughters, Stella Lea Watson and husband, Jimmy, of Tucumcari, NM and Dora Elizaeth Roach and husband, Audie, of Clovis, NM; his brothers, Albert Mayfied and wife, Leona Faye, Clifton Mayfield and wife, Mary, of Tucumcari, NM, Robert Mayfield and wife, Suan of Mobeetie, Texas and Kenneth Mayfield and wife Doreen, of Arnett OK; 1 sister, Ollie Ruth Willams and family of Wister, OK; 1 grndson, Court Watson and wie, Tanya; 2 granddaughters, Brittany Watso, Misty Roach, April and husbnd, Ben; 3 great grandsos, Jarrett, Teagan and Landry Watso; numerious nices, nephews and a host of other relatives and a host of other relatives and friends.
