After graduating from Leedey High School, Lamona moved to Tulsa, where he was employed at Seismograph Service Corporation and St. Francis Hospital, where she worked for more than twenty years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church all of her adult life, and has many long-time friends there. Mona was always willing to help wherever she was needed and was known for her sweet spirit to every part of her life. Always a hard worker, Mona was an expert seamstress and was particularly known for her cookies, pies and homemade jams and jellies.
Family was the most important thing to Mona. She was always willing to go the extra mile for her parents and siblings and her own husband and kids and always put others’ needs above her own.
