Alice Alvin Myers McCaskill (Grandma Mac), 95, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011. She was born August 17, 1915 in Reydon, Oklahoma.
Alice loved family and friends, cooking, gardening, quilting, fishing and camping, picking wild fruits, berries and mushrooms. She also loved the community of Mt. Hope and was an active resident since 1949.
She was poreceded in death by husband JB to whom she was married for 63 years, daughter Barbara Harper, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.
Survivors include Daughter; Loretta (Merwin) Lewis, Nelda Dow, Nona (Robert) Perriman. Sons, Jay (Marilyn), Larry (Cindy), Don (Patt), Dwayne (Lor), 18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and many cousins and friendsz.
Alice requested memorial contributions in lieu of flowers suggesting Mt. Hope First United Methodist Church or the Mt. Hoped Nursing Home. Services were held Tuesday August 16, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, Mt. Hope with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
