Funeral services for Gene McCaskill were conducted Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Worsham officiating. Interment will follow in the Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Charles Eugene McCaskill was born October 31, 1932 in Roger Mills County to Lawrence and Sadie (Walker) McCaskill and passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at the age of 80. He attended Berlin Schools and served his country in the US Army. Gene was married to Fern Taylor in 1952 and they spent most all of their married life in Roger Mills County where he farmed and was also a mechanic. He loved to garden, listen to country music, visit with family and walk his dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, brother Lawrence Jr., borther, Ralph, a sister, Sadie Mae Haney an a great grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Fern McCaskill of the home, 4 daughters, Teresa Griffin and her husband Stephen of Warr Acres, OK, Anita Gusan and her husband Larry of Yukon, OK, Shirley Youngblood and her husband Jack of Elk City, Phyllis Pierce and her husband Wes of Berlin, OK, 4 grandsons and 3 great granddaughters.
