McCLURE, Sarah Elvinia

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Elvinia McClure were conducted Tuesday in the Methodist Church at Roosevelt. Rev. Flora Bello Keith officiated. Interment was in the Hobart Cemetery under direction of Scroggins and Son of Cheyenne. Mrs. McClure passed away on Sunday, February 16, after a long illness.
Born February 10, 1877 at Searcy, Arkansas, she was married to Joseph L. McClure in November 1898. She was a pioneer resident of the Roosevelt community having resided there from 1909 until 1950 when she came to Cheyenne to make her home with her daughter, Elsie and husband Harry C. Chapman. She was a long time member of the Methodist Church at Roosevelt and a Rebekah of 50 years membership.
Immediate survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Chapman of Cheyenne and one son, B.M. McClure of La Puente, California; two sisters, Mrs. Velarie Short, Weatherford and Mrs. Ida Smith, Amarillo, Texas.
