U.S. VeteranGlenn Miller was born August 26, 1939 in
Mayfield, Oklahoma to Leona and Woodrow Wilson Miller. He passed away June 4,
2017 at Amarillo, Texas at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 8 days.
Glenn grew up in the
Mayfield community and graduated from Sweetwater High School. He later entered
the US Army and served his country during the Korean War. After his discharge,
he moved to Earth, Texas and worked on a farm until moving to Amarillo to make
his home. He worked for a short time doing road construction before beginning
his career with Curry Motor Freight, which later became Central Freight Line.
He remained there until his retirement. He enjoyed returning to Oklahoma to
spend time outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, an infant son, Christopher Doyle Miller, 2 sisters, Carla Ray
Miller and Mary Miller and a brother Carroll Dean Miller.
He is survived by his 2
children, Vicki Lucas, Erick, OK,  and Chris Miller and wife, Mandy,
Amarillo, TX; 4 grandchildren,  Joshua Lucas, Hannah Lucas, 
Christopher Miller and Brianna Miller, 1 step grandchild,  Jonathan Lucas,
3 great grandchildren,  Jacob Vasquez, Joseph Vasquez,  and Hailey
Lucas, 2 sisters,  Rose Rocha, Dallas, TX  and Betty Miller,
Sweetwater, OK; 4 brothers,  Joe Miller, Sweetwater, OK, Earnest Miller,
Oklahoma City, OK,  Danny Miller, Erick, OK,  and Gene Miller,
Sweetwater, OK, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
