MITCHELL, Vonda F. Hollingsworth


 Vonda F. Mitchell, 82, of Hammon, Oklahoma was born on February 18, 1934 in Roger Mills County,

Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Kenneth E. and Hazel O. Hollingsworth. While sleeping at
Oklahoma Heart Hospital on Friday, October 21, 2016, she passed into eternity where she will live forever
with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Vonda grew up in Roger Mills County with her three brothers, Edward, Frederick, and Larry; and sister, Carolyn.
She married her best friend and sweetheart Bert W. Mitchell on August 5, 1951. Bert preceded her in death in 2011.
Vonda served her husband and family faithfully as well as uncountable friends. She enjoyed gardening,
quilting, baking, needlework, crafting, and teaching Sunday School. On every account and in every way,
Vonda finished the race well, prepared to meet her Lord.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Red Hill Cemetery in Hammon,
Oklahoma. Pastor Scott Showers will be officiating. Services have been entrusted to the care of
Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Vonda is survived by her four children, two grandchildren and great grandchild: Paul and Cindy Mitchell,
Amber Bedoya and husband Jorge and daughter Isabel, and Zachary Mitchell of Houston, Texas; Jo Dee
Mitchell of Hammon, Oklahoma; Dan Mitchell of Brighton, Colorado.; and Paula Jo Mitchell of Hammon, Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert W. Mitchell; her parents, Kenneth E. and Hazel O. Hollingsworth;
and her brother, Frederick Hollingsworth.
