George Moore, 55, Cheyenne died Wednesday at the Cheyenne Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral Mass was held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cheyenne with Rev. Michael Hughes, Sayre officiating.
Born in Kansas, Mr. Moore came with his parents to the Doxey community in 1910. He moved from St. Louis _____ to Elk City and 13 years ago to Cheyenne. He was a member of the Catholic Church and was a former Shoe Store owner in St. Louis, Missouri.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Elnora Taylor, Denver Colorado and Mrs. May Jones, Pampa, Florida; one brother Donald S. Moore, College Station, Texas, one niece, one nephew and his step mother, Mrs. S.S. Moore of Sayre.
Committal was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery with Scroggins and Son Funeral home in charge.
