Moorea, Lola Faye Ralston

Lola Faye (Ralston) Moore was born October 24, 1915, to Pearl and Eva Grace (Lopshire) Ralston west of Camargo, Oklahoma and passed away June 25, 2010 at the Vici Nursing Home.
Faye grew up in Camargo, graduating from Camargo High School in 1934 as the Saluatorian.
Faye married Raymond Gerald Moore (R.G.) on December 22, 1934, at Woodward, Oklahoma. After the wedding, the couple settled on a farm west of Camargo. In 1940, the family moved to the Moore homestead at Camp Creek, Oklahoma. Faye worked alongside her husband on the farm yet still managed to cook meals for the family and farmhands and often took the meals out to the fields during harvest time. She was a loving mother of five and a wonderful grandmother. Even when Faye was busy with farm chores, cooking, canning or involved with chuch activities she always found time for her loved ones. Faye was an active member of the Campo Creek Nazarene Church for over 70 years, serving as a church Elder, church secretary, Sunday school teacher and Bible School teacher for many years and was the assistant building superintendent of the church Fellowship Hall. An important part of her church work was as a supporter of the Alabaster offering for Missions.
Faye was a member of the Home Demonstration Club anf was also an Election Board Precinct Official. When her children and grandchildren were in school, she was an active supporter of the FFA and 4-H clubs. Most of her children and grandchildren showed animals and Faye was always there to cheer them on, and usually had some homemade cookies she just happened to bring with her. Faye enjoyed quilting, embroidering and sewing for family and friends and crocheted afghans for several grandchildren. She took pride in her flowers and orchard, and always planted a huge vegetable garden. Following R.G.’s death on May 10, 1994, Faye continued living on the farm and was active in the day to day activities until her health began to deteriorate in 2002 when she moved to Vici Nursing Home where she remained until her death.
