Funeral services for Dustin Packard will be conducted Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the Community Fellowship Church of Hammon with Rev. Dolan Ivey officiating. Interment will be in the Red Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Dustin Vance Packard was born October 15, 1991 at Sayre, OK and passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 as a result of an auto accident at the age of 20. He was raised in Hammon where he graduated from Hammon High School in 2010 where he served as FFA President in his senior year. Dustin was an avid hunter and was working as a mud logger as a vocation.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Packard.
Survivors include his mother: Lisa Scroggins and her husband Mark of Mulhall, OK, father, Vance Packard and his wife Samantha of Hammon, sisters and brothers, Destiny Packard of Mulhall, OK, Katelynn Packard of Hammon, OK, Ashlyn Packard of Hammon, Colton Scroggns of Mulhall, Chesney Scroggins of Mulhall, maternal grandfather, Danny Pierce of Kelton, TX, maternal grandmother, Vera Pierce of Reydon, OK, paternal grandmother, Phyllis Packhard of Hammon, maternal great grandmother, Shirley Crosby of Erick, paternal great grandmother, Zella Linville of Hammon and paternal grandfather, D.W. Lewis of Tulsa.
