Warren Poindexter, Durham, died at an Oklahoma City hospital Sunday, August 12, 1964 following an extended illness. Services were held at the Crawford gymnasium Wednesday, August 15, 1964 at 2:00 p.m. with Leland Burch, Durham, Oklahoma officiating.
Born July 6, 1906 in Roger Mills County near Crawford, Mr. Poindexter was married March 2, 1938 to Thursia June Holt in Cheyenne. He has been a member of the Pentecostal Church. Survivors are his wife of the home; one daughter, Delores of the home; three sons, Harlton of the U.S. Armed Forces, Ft. Carson, Colorado, Larry and Charles of the home; three brothers, Hershel of Amarillo, Texas, Kenneth of Pittsburgh, California; Elgin of Arizona; Mrs. Beulah Pyeatt, Pampa, Texas, Mrs. Vesta Grisson, Porterville, California; his mother, Nellie Poindexter, Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Committal was in the Silent Home Cemetery at Roll with Scroggins and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
