Kaitlyn “Katy” Savannah Porter, 22, of Reydon, Oklahoma was born on March 25, 1997 in Guymon. She is the beloved daughter of Joey James and Tina Denise (Keys) Porter. She passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City with her loving family by her side.
Katy grew up in Reydon, attending Reydon Schools, and was active in the FFA and 4-H, winning awards for showing swine and sheep. She participated in JRCA rodeos during her pre-teen years. She participated in the woodshop program at Reydon Schools and made many beautiful pieces of furniture, winning several awards.
After high school, Katy attended the Western Technology Center Elk City, studying phlebotomy and CNA. Katy enjoyed hunting, fishing, mudding, camping, music, photography, and drawing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Reydon Community Building in Reydon. Interment will be in White Rose Cemetery in Reydon. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City.
Cherishing her memory is her father, Joey Porter and wife Mindy; mother, Tina Keys and Joey York “UncleDad”; grandmothers, Diann “Nanny” Porter and Billie Boren; sisters, Jessi and Adalynn Porter; brothers, Andres, Keith, Thomas, Jordan, and Mark; aunts and uncles, Junior and Ashley Porter, Toby Keys and wife, Terry Keys and wife, Melissa and Mike Turpen, Michael Vaughn, Michelle Schmidt, Matt and Karen Matthews; numerous other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, James “PaPa” Porter; grandparents, Dean and Karen Keys; great-grandparents, J.T. and Evelyn Porter; great-grandparents, Harvey and Marie Griffin; great-grandmother, “Granny” Critser.
