ROMAN NOSE, Jane “Wynona” Hawk

Funeral services for Jane “Wynona” Romasn Nose, 53, Elk City resident, are scheduled for 1 p.m. today in the Hammon High School Auditorium, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Walare.
A traditional all night wake will be held at the Pentecostal Church, Elk City.
Mrs. Roman Nose was born Oct. 24, 1959, in Elk City, the daughter of Sidney and Edna (Swallow) Roman Nose. She died Fridayt, August 24, 2012, at her Elk City residence.
She was reared and attended school in Hammon. She was a caregiver for her grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents; four siters, Nora White Horse, Myra Sanchez, Nadine Seven Star and Zanoma Roman Nose; and a brother, Theodore Roman Nose.
She was a member of the Indian Baptist Church.
Survivors include her spouse, Michel Hawk, of the home; three daughters, Dee Roman Nose, New Mexico, Faith Yordy, Burns Flat, and Tonya Quibordeaux, Elk City; an adopted daughter, Belicia Kirkland, Kansas; a son, Lashaun Roman Nose, Washington; three sisters, Alberta Thunderbull, Elk City, Gladis Salines, Elk City, and Stella Rman Nose, Clinton; two brothers, Martin Roman Nose, Elk City, and Wayne Roman Nose, New Mexico; and seven grandchildren, Traveon Edmondson, Maya Janew Roman Nose, Jalynn Romans Nose, Draven Quibodeaux, Jastin Quibodeaux, McKaylee Kirland and Lashaun Roman Nose Jr.
Burial will follow in the Hammon Indian Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley-Lee Funeral Home, Clinton.
