Zelma Mae Rothenberger, 71, of Elk City, was born on January 29, 1945 in Visalia, California. She is the daughter of Robert Lee and Flora Mae (Harris) Vincent. Zelma went to be with her Heavenly Father surrounded by her loved ones on March 4, 2016 at OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Zelma married her best friend and sweetheart, Benny Wayne Rothenberger on October 22, 2003.
Zelma enjoyed doing many things like going to church, shopping with her sisters, working in the flower garden, traveling and riding a motorcycle, but most of all she treasured the time she had with her grandchildren, family and friends.
She was a long time member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Sweetwater Baptist Church, in Sweetwater, OK. Rev. Bill Smithey will officiate. Interment will be at Buffalo Cemetery near Sweetwater.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City.
Zelma is survived by her husband, Benny of Sweetwater, son, Kevin Scott of Clinton; two daughters Lori Pennington of Dallas, Texas and Cathy Scott of Altus, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four sisters, Emma Gardner of Sallisaw, Aline Curtis of Edmond, June Reeves of Cheyenne and Linda Durland of Elk City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Flora Vincent, two brothers and three sisters.
