SARVER, Claud



Claud Sarver was born February 18,
1937 to Jacob and Carrie Sarver in Kansas City, KS. He passed away July 17,
2016 at Leedey, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 29 days.

He joined the Marines in June of 1954 and served until 1957. In December 1960
he joined the Army where he received his communications training and was later
honorably discharged December of 1963. Claud met Emma Jo Bailey in Willcox, AZ
and later married her in Ft Gordon, Georgia on April 8, 1961.Their marriage was
blessed with 3 children; Richard, Kimberly and Betty. Claud and Jo made their
home in Burns Flat upon coming to Oklahoma from Arizona in 1972. Then shortly
after they moved to the farm on old Port Road where they lived, loved and
raised their family. Claud and Jo sold the farm and moved to Safford, AZ where
they have lived the last several years. Claud had a massive stroke in June and
has been in a Tuscon, AZ hospital until last Friday, when the family had him
flown back to be on home hospice. Claud passed from this world to be with the
Lord on July 17, 2016 at 8:50 PM. He was surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Carrie Sarver, 2 sisters,
Lorraine Mayhew and his twin sister Claudine Payne, an infant brother and a
brother, Donnie.

Claud leaves behind his wife, Emma Jo Sarver of the home, son, Richard Sarver
and wife, Pam of Sentinel, OK, daughter, Kimberly Currier and husband, Bryan of
Leedey, OK, daughter Betty Whittington and husband, Mark of Leedey. Claud has
10 grandchildren, Cassie Leal, Desirae Corbin, Jascinda Currier, Destinee
Sarver, Kelsey Farris, Coltan Whittington, Blake Currier, Cayla Whittington,
Remington Sarver and Rangler Sarver. Also he has 8 great grands, Kylie Leal,
Jaylynn Currier, Jase Harrel, Brock Leal, Dex Corbin, Heidi Leal, Khloe Farris,
and Emma Jo Hammer, a sister, Betty Jean Ginn, Chandler, OK, and a host of
other relatives and friends.

 
Services will be held on Friday,
July 22, 2016 at 10:30 in the Whinery-Savage Chapel in Elk City, OK. Interment
in Port Cemetery, Carter, Oklahoma.
