Charlotte K. Sheffield was born November 8, 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jesse and Carolyn (Fitz) Steele and passed away September 11, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Charlotte attended school in Oklahoma City and graduated in 1982. She attended college and became a licensed Cosmetologist. She moved to Leedey to be closer to her family in the early 1990s. Charlotte met Doug Sheffield and they married June 3, 1995 in Leedey and then moved to Cordell, Oklahoma. She worked many years for Ace Hardware in Cordell and Clinton where she was the Assistant Manager. Charlotte enjoyed to read, making jewelry, spending time with her family going out to eat and riding along with Doug on countless service calls.
Preceded in death by her father Jesse Steele in 1998 and one sister Charmane Maupin.
Survivors include husband, Doug Sheffield of the home in Cordell, mother Carolyn Kay Steele of Woodward, Oklahoma. Step mother Donna Steele of Leedey, Oklahoma; sons Brandon Steele of Cordell, Oklahoma and Phillip Sheffield of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law Kenny Sheffield and wife Jennifer of Sayre, Oklahoma, Bob Sheffield of Gotebo, Oklahoma, Fred Sheffield and wife Denise of Cedar City, Utah; sisters-in-law Alice Diedrich of Seaside, Oregon, Pam Thacker and husband Roy of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Lori Hulett and husband Rodney of Gotebo, Oklahoma, a host of dear nieces, nephews and friends.
Services for Charlotte Sheffield will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fourth and College Church of Christ in Cordell, Oklahoma with Chris Perry officiating. Services are under the direction of Musick Varner Funeral Home of Cordell, Oklahoma.
