Terrell B. Simms services were held Friday, July 17, 1964 in the Sayre Methodist Church with Rev. Daris Parker officiating. Mr. Simms passed away July 14, in the Memorial Hospital, Elk City at the age of 83 years, six months.
Born in Rockwall, Texas on January 14, 1881, he was married November 4, 1904 to Ellen Collins at Rockwall. In 1905 they moved to Roger Mills County where they resided until moving to Sayre in 1960 to make their home.
Survivors are his wife, Ellen of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Viola Baldwin, of Grapevine, Texas, Mrs. Ethel Chick, Sayre, Mrs. Bertha Chick, Grand Junction, Colorado and Mattie Welch; five sons, Cecil of Maderia, California, B., Woodrow, Joe all of Sayre and J.C. of Dumas, Texas; three brothers, Walter, John and Virgil all of Cheyenne, 42 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Sims, Bobby Sims, Billy Sims, Ronnie Sims, Jerry Chick and Swain Macklin.
Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
