Skaggs, Todd

Todd Skaggs was born December 5, 1971 in Altus, Oklahoma to Larinda Joy and James Bob Skaggs. He passed away January 28, 2012 at Apache Junction, Arizona at the age of 40 years, 1 month and 23 days.
Todd spent his early years in the Dallas, Texas, Sayre, Oklahoma and Elk City, Oklahoma areas. He attended high school in Magnolia, Arkansas where he was a member of the “Show Band” playing the trumpet. After graduation in 1990, he furthered his education at Henderson University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas before moving to Arizona, he continued attending college at Prescott, Arizona and Conservatiory of Sound and Recording in Tempe, Arizona. Todd worked as a corpenter in the construction industry and within the past few years he worked on building trails and had just completed the last 2 miles of a trail from Mexico to Utah. Todd enjoyed music and the outdoors. He pursued backpacking, rock cli8mbing and mountain biking. His travel included trips to Ecuador, Belize and all over the Southwestern United States. Although he enjoyed these activities he was passionate about life, his family and friends, and God’s creation.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Bob Skaggs and his grandparents, Essie and Isaac Skaggs.
He is survived by his mother, Larinda, Edmond, OK; 3 brothers, James Gregory Skaggs and wife, Carrie, Troy, AL, Jon Erin Skaggs, Sherman Oaks, CA and Ryan Mitchell Skaggs, Keller, TX; 2 nieces, Kalyn and Abbie Skaggs, Troy, AL, grandparents, E.L. and Addie Archer, Sayre, OK and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sayre First Baptist Church officiated by Brother Gary Baird under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
