Daniel Wayne Smith was born February 20, 1974 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Cindy and Donald Smith. He passed away March 22, 2012 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 38 years, 1 month and 3 days.
Daniel attended school at Erick, Oklahoma and graduated from Erick High School in 1992. He married Tina Lindenfelser on July 10, 1993 at Erick and to this union two daughters were born, Taylor and Eryn. Daniel was employed with Love Box Company and CPD in Oklahoma City for 10 years. He later worked for his uncle at Scott’s Miracle Gro Company. He lived in Yukon, Oklahoma before returning to Erick in 2006 to make his home. Daniel enjoyed following NASCAR, the OKC Thunder and the OSU Cowboys. His greatest love was spending time with his daughters.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Carolyn Smith and paternal grandfather, H.E. Smith.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Taylor and Eryn Smith, Erick, OK; his parents, Cindy Tennery and husband, Johnny Wayne, Erick, OK, Donnie Smith and wife, Carolyn, Erick, OK; 1 brother, Michael Smith and wife, Sheila, and their children, Emily and Mason, Elk City, OK; his grandmother, Helen Smith, Sweetwater, OK, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 10P:30 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Erick First Christian Church officiated by Charlie Floyd and Murrial Walker. Burial followed at Erick Cemetery under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.whineryfs.com
