Loyd Ray Springer, 82, joined his beloved wife, Shirley on April 20, 2014. He passed away at his home in Robinson, Texas. Services were held April 23, 2014 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Rummage officiating. Burial followed at Robinson Cemetery. Loyd was born March 24, 1932 to Scott and Mary (Goin) Springer in Crawford, Oklahoma. He always considered western Oklahoma to be his home. He married the love of his life, Shirley Jane Fair on January 25, 1958. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He managed the laundry at the VA Hospital for over 25 years, first in Oklahoma, then Denver and finally Waco, Texas. He was a faithful member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley and four sisters. He is survived by his children, Rod Springer and wife, Sara of Troy; Tronda Monger and husband Steve of Frisco and Marty Springer and wife, Cherise of Madisonville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Hope and Blake Springer, Luke Monger and Amanda and Jake Springer; sister, Mae Sue Bright; brothers, Scott Springer and George Springer.
