Shirley J. Springer, 72, of Robinson, was promoted to Heaven August 15, 2010. A celebration of her life was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Sadler and Rev. Paul Rummage officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery.
Shirley was born November 23, 1937, in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Boyd Wayne Fair and Opal Geneva (Payne) Fair. She graduated from Crawford High School in Crawford, Oklahoma, and attended Panhandle A&M in Goodwell, Oklahoma. Shirley married Loyd Springer January 25, 1958, in Crawford, Oklahoma, and was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, serving as church secretary for over 30 years. Shirley was a kind, unselfish, thoughtful, generous person and will be truly missed by her family and friends. Without a doubt, she is now in a better place. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Loyd Springer of Robinson; and she was “mother” to her daughter, Tronda Monger and husband, Steve, of Frisco; “Mom” to her son, Rodney Springer and wife, Sara, of Troy, and “Mommy” to her son, Marty Springer and wife, Cherise, of Madisonville, La. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Lavern Fair and wife, Vinita, of Brokedn Arrow, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Hope, Blake, Amanda and Jake Springer and Luke Monger.
