Found some additional information in our Cheyenne Centennial Book which states: Arthur Lee Townsley was born August, 1901 in Globe OK, Coal County to Elbert Wwalter and Tuga May “SMith” Townsley. Lee’s father, Walter, was born in Missouri, the 12th of 13 children. Walter’s parents were born in Tennessee. Walter’s parents, William M. Townsley and Jane Stallsworth were married in Grainger Co. TN in 1844 and had left that area by 1850.. In 1850 they were in Ohio CO, KY; maries County, Missouri in 1860; Cooke County, Texas in 1870 and on to Brown County in the late 1870s. William M. died in 1885, Palo Pinto Co, TX and is buried at Oran, TX. Jane Townsley died in 1899 and is buried in Globe, OK. Walter Townsley and Tuga Mae Smith were married in 1889 at the home of her parents in Oran, TX. They then moved to eastern OK where Lee was born. Walter is bured at Center, OK with Tuga buried in Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, OK…….there is additional info if you want it…
