Graveside services for Dorothy Wheeler were held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from the Fairlawn Cemetery with Rev. Billy Gene Wheeler officiating. Interment was under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Dorothy Helen Wheeler was born March 9, 1930 at Lake City, Arkansas to Dave and Mary Crockett and passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at the age of 81. She came to Reydon, OK as a teenager and was married to James Dillard Wheeler. Dorothy owned and operated a cafe in Reydon and then in 1975 moved to Elk City where she has lived since.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson and 6 brothers and sisters.
Survivors incle 4 children: Wilma Jane Wheeler of Sapulpa, OK, Elsie A. Brinlee of Canute, OK, Beverly A. Wheeler of Heavener, OK, Rodney Wheeler of Elk City, OK; 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a brother, Billy Crockett of St. Charles, Missouri.
