Philemon Whiteskunk, Jr. was born on August 26, 1971 in Cortez, Colorado, the son of Philemon, Sr. and Irene Hatch Whiteskunk. He passed away on December 28, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Durango, Colorado at the age of 44.
Philemon was a welder in the construction industry . He loved animals and his pets were his kids. Philemon also enjoyed basketball, listening to music and playing video games.
Philemon is survived by his mother; his wife, Glenda Wing Whiteskunk; his siblings, Doreen Hart (Eugene) of Sayre, OK;, Sandra Whiteskunk, Kimberly Whiteskunk, Beverly Whiteskunk and Meredith Martinez all of Towaoc and Lehman Whiteskunk of Cortez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Philemon was preceded in death by his father and siblings: Hugh Whiteskunk and Pamela Whiteskunk.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hammon Community Building. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 2:00 in the Hammon Community Building with graveside services following at 3:00 in the Mennonite Indian Cemetery north of Hammon, Oklahoma.
