Jeff Yowell was born April 21, 1951 in Reydon, Oklahoma in the family farmhouse to Lois Veega and Earnest Alva Yowell. He passed away February 26, 2015 at home in Reydon, Oklahoma at the age of sixty three years, ten months and five days.
Jeff grew up in the Reydon community. He graduated from Reydon High School in 1969 and continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. He returned to the Reydon area to make his home where he worked in the oilfield, farmed and did carpentry. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing dominoes and cards and chatting with his friends over coffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and two nephews. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Jody Yowell, two grandchildren, Blake and Nora Yowell of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter, Erin Durham of Warr Acres, OK; sister, Dorothy Alexander and her wife Devey Napier of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Mary Erickson and her husband, Curt, of Garrison, MN; brother, Clark Yowell and his wife, Gail of Newcastle, OK; brother, Kevin Yowell and his wife, Cindy of Reydon, OK and a host of other friends and relatives.
Memorial Service will be conducted by the Whinery Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Reydon Community Building.
